If you use Firefox or Chrome, we developed an easy way you can help people bypass censorship.

Our Snowflake extension turns your browser into a proxy that connects Tor users in censored regions to the Tor network. snowflake.torproject.org/

@torproject I just installed it and try it out now.Seems to work,haven't got any error message so far but there are no users yet.Does it work if the browser I installed it in is configured to connect to the internet using Tor or does it need a direct connection?

@nipos @torproject

Just run on the normal internet. If the wiki page is up to date this feature is only in alpha version of the tor browser, and not yet on windows at all. Hence a low amount of users

@syme @torproject I don't actually care about Windows as I run Arch Linux and I use the normal Firefox with this addons but my Firefox is configured to connect over Tor (SOCKS5 proxy to 127.0.0.1:9050 with local Tor command line client) and that's the point where I don't know if it's compatible.
